ZAN FAST FERRY| I TRAVELLED BY THE FASTEST BOAT IN TANZANIA

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE ZAN FAST FERRIES.

I hope you have been enjoying my videos about my trip to Zanzibar.
I had flown Precision Air from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar since there was no ferry available when I arrived from Nairobi and I ddnt want to spend a night in Dar; I have done that already a couple of times. So going back to catch my flight back to Kenya, I felt it ideal to take a Zanzibar ferry. But which one of the two ferry companies would I take? I asked at my hotel and they recommended Zan Fast Ferries however it seemed most people would prefer the Azam Ferries since it has been in the industry for a while. Yes Zan Fast Ferries was a great choice to make. I paid Kshs 2500(25USD) for a one way ticket(Silver Class). This was a day before my initial day of travel.

I left the Hotel at 6:00am since departure was at 7:15am. My hotel at Stonetown was not far away from Malindi Docking Station where I was to board the ferry from. It was a 10 minutes walk. I showed my ticket and passport to be allowed in and sat at the waiting bay till when it was boarding time. We started boarding at 7:00am and 15 minutes later the ferry began the journey to Dar. The Azam ferry had departed from Zanzibar at exactly 7:00am but we passed it on the way. It was a smooth ride. We took just 1hour and 5 minutes to get to Dar. It was an amazing experience that I will be doing again soon.
