Cox has an interesting way of determining the formats of some of their stations. Based on their playlists, most of their classic hits stations, including WXGL in Tampa Bay, sound more like classic rock and their interpretation of "adult contemporary" varies. As is the case with WWRM, a supposed adult contemporary (AC) station serving Tampa Bay, Florida. However, their playlist indicates otherwise, mainly playing songs from the 90s to today, which resembles a playlist of a station with a Hot AC format. Therefore, I will be labelling WWRM as such. Besides, they pretty much shifted to Hot AC when WMTX shifted to mainstream AC. They also don't play Christmas music 24/7 during the holiday season anymore (they still play them sporadically in that time of year) as they let their sister station WDUV take care of that.

As of the latest publicly-released Nielsen ratings from December 2022, WWRM is ranked 9th (4.4) in the Tampa Bay market.
