Paul English was by far the biggest influence on me when it comes to the #singledrumtheory . After working a few shows as a production assistant for the family band I got to know the whole band as well as Poodie Locke Willie's long time tour manager. My first exposure to the concept of using just a snare in a band situation was watching Paul and Billy English. My first time using the idea was when I played with @chuckragan on a couple of revival dates. Since then I've used the theory on a few records and have toured doing clinic dates on the idea. All of it is based on what I saw and learned from Paul's playing. This track hits home so much for me because I feel the swagger in my playing that comes from Paul. this one is for Paul!
