Mac McDonnell first graduated from Kearney State College with a degree in Technical Theatre with an emphasis in Lighting Design and Make-up Design. As a road tech with Stanal Sound, Mac toured with Johnny Cash, John Denver, Paul Simon, and many others including GRAMMY-winning jazz artist, Kirk Whalum where he first met NOMAD.
