ah... I don't want to let this one go...
But it has a new owner now, that I'm sure will love her as much as me.
It was built to be a tour guitar... with easy adjustment of the 2 way truss rod if you are flying all over the world. mine are incredibly stable anyway but for a touring pro. this stuff is the little details.
When Matt Rossi called and asked if I'd like to join him and the rest of the Mammoth Jack boys opening for Garth Brooks at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, well... there was only one choice of guitar for a gig of that stature, and it had to represent Texas as well. and being right down the road (literally a few blocks) from where I lived when I was 15 years old... it had to be this Waylon guitar.
So it was used for one amazing gig, in front of roughly 110,000 people.
An absolute honor to play with these friends I've known and picked with, some for 25 years... opening for the biggest Country music artist in history. What can you say?
Garth and Trisha are just awesome folks and the entire road crew, staff, stage crew everybody were amazing.
So there's a little bit of love left in this guitar, beyond what I put in ever time I build one and set it up.
I stole some Ray Flacke licks near the beginning... and Marty Stuart might get some royalties... ????

And I'm gonna shave tomorrow, I promise!
