On June 22, 2014, The Texas Heritage Songwriters' Association hosted its annual Hall of Fame Awards Show, a weekend-long celebration of songwriters who capture the bold Texas spirit. Previous inductee Red Steagall hosted the awards show, which featured performances by Lee Roy Parnell, Bonnie Bishop, Shooter Jennings, Jessi Colter, and Kris Kristofferson. The event ended with the induction of Buck Owens, Waylon Jennings, and K.T. Oslin into the Texas Heritage Songwriters' Hall of Fame, where they join a legendary list of Lone Star State songwriters including Willie Nelson and Lyle Lovett.
