A sensational musical performance with two great country music legends: Waylon Jennings and Carl Smith. A fantastic historical video with one of the last musical performances of Carl Smith, when he was already retired from music.

Medley - Let's Live A Little - Are You Teasing Me - If Teardrops Were Pennies - It's a Lovely, Lovely World - Let Old Mother Nature Have Her Way

Waylon Arnold Jennings (June 15, 1937 – February 13, 2002) was an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as one of the founding pioneers of the Outlaw Movement.

He was singer, songwriter and guitarist, recorded 60 albums and had 16 No. 1 country singles in a career that spanned five decades. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in October 2001. With pal Willie Nelson, Jennings performed duets like "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys", "Luckenbach" and "Good Hearted Woman".

Carl Milton Smith (March 15, 1927 – January 16, 2010) was an American country music singer. Known as "Mister Country," he was one of the genre's most successful male artists during the 1950s, scoring 30 top-10 Billboard hits (21 of which were consecutive). Smith's success continued well into the 1970s, when he had a charting single every year but one. Smith was married to June Carter (with whom he had daughter Carlene) and later Goldie Hill. In 2003, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

"It's a Lovely, Lovely World" was originally composed by Boudleaux Bryant who wrote numerous country recordings during the 1950s and 1960s, including "Bye Bye Love" and "Rocky Top". The song was recorded by Carl Smith on February 5, 1952 in Nashville, Tennessee, United States at the Castle Recording Studio. Also included on the session was Smith's future single "Are You Teasing Me". The recording session was produced by Don Law. "It's a Lovely, Lovely World" was released as the B-side to Smith's single "Are You Teasing Me" in March 1952. While the A-side reached number one on the Billboard Magazine Most Played C&W in Juke Boxes list, "It's a Lovely, Lovely World" peaked at number five on the same chart. Originally, both songs were not issued onto official studio albums.

"It's a Lovely, Lovely World" was recorded during the peak of Carl Smith's career as a country music artist. During the early 1950s, along with this song, Smith had thirty top-ten hits amidst the Billboard country singles chart. The song was recorded in Smith's signature Honky Tonk musical style.

"Let Old Mother Nature Have Her Way" is a 1951 song by Loys Sutherland and Louie Clark, first recorded by Carl Smith. "Let Old Mother Nature Have Her Way" was Smith's first number one on the Billboard country and western best seller chart, spending eight weeks at the top spot and total of 33 weeks on the chart. While originally released as a 78 record, Smith later released a version of the song on his 1957 album, Sentimental Songs.

The song was also covered by Faron Young on his 1962 album, Four Walls.
