Privat practice on this true classic.
It's almost too pure and too powerful to try. Maybe better leave it alone.. Anyway, i'm still going through songs like i've always done and see which fit me to take on the road. Since i'm invited to pick in France tjis late june, i'd like some new ones. Don't know yet if this one will be one of them.. Like i said, it's almost too..

The song is written by Kris Kristofferson with Glen Clark and was used in the soundtrack of the early 80s movie 'Songwriter' starring Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson. Though the label states K. Kristofferson and G. Clark, there's little chance the latter is Guy Clark, because they were in different circles. I'd say it's Glen Clark, since Glen Clark is on the sleeve, Glen recorded a Kristofferson tune on his recent album "You tell me" etc. So it's probably right to state it's the same Glen Clark that kicked of his career in the early 70s aside Delbert McClinton as the duo 'Delbert & Glen'. The duo made two early 70s albums with classics like "B Movie Boxcar Blues" etc.

About this "Under the gun" : please give tbe original version a spin. Please listen all the way through and mannnn, when the late Stephen Bruton starts his solo as the then longtime Kristofferson guitarist.. Wow!
