The phenomenal songwriter, awesome actor and amazing singer has retired from performing and making movies. I hope he'll still write. He's has lived a remarkable and storied life from Brownsville, Tx. to San Mateo, Ca. to Oxford, England to Fort Rucker, Al. to West Germany to Nashville, Tn. and many more places since. He defied his family's plans for him and dared to go his own way and not theirs. He could have had it easy teaching at West Point but he chose to follow his dream of being a songwriter. It led to his family disowning him via a letter from his mother which he actually found liberating. No pressure. Just live and let live. He battled the demon of alcoholism and won. While his first two marriages failed, the third one proved to be the charm. He's father to 8 children: 2 with first wife Fran Beer, 1 with second wife Rita Coolidge, and 5 with his third and current wife Lisa Meyers. Some of those children have made him a grandfather. Somewhere along the way his parents came around and there was reconciliation, per one interview I seen (I forget which one) and I read it somewhere also (again, forgetting where). I hope he enjoys his retirement for a long time. After five decades it's time for a rest, just put up the feet and relax. Thanks for the music and the movies Kris. I still think you're the sexiest man on the planet. **NOTE: I used this song as it was perfect for this project. I recognize that [Merlin] Redeye Distribution, PIAS, On behalf of: New West Records, are the copyright owners. I'm thankful for not being given a copyright strike. I hope if anyone affiliated with [Merlin] Redeye Distribution, PIAS and New West Records sees this and reads my description they'll understand I only used the song to celebrate Kris. ~Teresa
