"The Great Tompall."
A nickname Thomas Paul Glaser gave himself. He was known professionally as Tompall Glaser. Tompall, along with his brothers Chuck and Jim, were maybe the greatest vocal group in any genre of music in the 60s and early 70s.
Tompall started a solo career in the 70s. Along with Willie, Waylon, and Jessi Colter, they smashed record sales with their collaborative album, "Wanted: The Outlaws." It became the first platinum selling album in country music history.
Tompall was more than just a singer. He was also a brilliant songwriter and record producer. His Nashville Studio, commonly called Hillbilly Central, gave birth to the Outlaw movement in country music.
