The musician "passed peacefully" on Monday night, according to a family statement posted online. The diagnosis of stomach cancer came to Keith in the autumn of 2021.

As stated in the release, "Toby Keith passed away peacefully last night on February 5 while surrounded by his family." "He fought his battle with dignity and bravery," the judge remarked.
