I recount my engine failure in my first aircraft, a Piel Emeraude and we fly to Weybourne on the North Norfolk coast to visit the Muckleburgh Military Museum. The Piel Emeraude Cp301A was built in France in 1967 and flown as F-POIO. In 1983 we sold it and I flew it to Manchester Barton. It gradually worked its way back down the country and ended up back here with its present owner.

RAF Weybourne was the smallest RAF airfield during WW2 and was linked to the anti-aircraft gunnery station. De Havilland DH-82B Queen Bee target drone aircraft, a radio-controlled target tug version of the Tiger Moth II were flown as targets towing aircraft.

*I am not a qualified flying instructor nor do I ever claim to be a very good pilot. I fly for fun and basically record for my own interest and review but upload because a number of people suggested that I should. I do try to edit for enjoyment and story telling and this means that some content is not always included.*
