The Stoic and ancient Stoic philosophers had a number of different tools with which to look at life in a more positive way.
One of these tools was the development of Stoic virtue and non reactivity, specifically the virtue of wisdom.
The ability to look at something and decide how we respond can make a significant improvement on the wellbeing in our life.
To the Stoics like Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and Epictetus, Stoic wisdom was about looking at life more objectively and seeing and accepting it for what it is, rather than being frustrated because we're not seeing what we want it to be.
When we get better at processing the world around us, we begin to be better able to live happier lives.
