New Eagles Song On Dan Fogelberg Tribute Album
Well, it is the “new” Eagles but the song isn't so new. Being a tribute album these are older tunes from the great Dan Fogelberg who died in December 2007 at the age of 56. The Eagles will do their own version of Fogelberg's very first hit, “Part of the Plan” from 1975.

The album will also feature new Eagles guitarist/singer Vince Gill Fogelberg's biggest hit, “Longer” which reached #2 on the Billboard Charts in 1979. It's a duet with his wife Amy Grant. Gill says, “I always loved Dan’s music, and getting the opportunity to sing on the High Country Snows record, over 30 years ago, is still a great memory for me.”

Garth Brooks, Train, Jimmy Buffett, and Zac Brown will also be on the album which is due Nov 17th.

Michael McDonald who does. “Better Change” on the project said he was first introduced to Fogelberg via manager Irvin Azoff. “While visiting him in the early 70’s, he played me some demos of songs by a young kid from Peoria, Illinois; a part of the country were both from,” said McDonald. “I was immediately transported to a musical place that I would look forward to returning to time and again over the years with each new release of a Dan Fogelberg album. So proud to be part of this project.”

If you pre-order the album will receive an instant download of “Hard to Say” by Scaggs and “Longer” by Gill and Grant.
