The Highwaymen - American Remains (Gargudon Unofficial Remix)

I first discovered and heard this legendary song, performed by the legendary Highwaymen, written by Rives Rutherford, during a talk with others once about Classic Country. Even the first time I heard it, there was just something truly unique about the song, from the instrumentation, lyrical themes, and given the fact it’s four of Country’s biggest Outlaws ever banding together. As I heard the song more and more, and dug into the Native American and tribal vibes of the song even further, it reminded me of the early remix work of Norwegian artist and producer Kygo; EDM that’s more about tranquil ambience, than something for a pounding dance floor. Hence the idea of giving the song some different soft Electronic and Ambient touches was born! Reimagine the song, all while keeping the elements that make the original what it already is, that also made me hear Kygo in it in the first place.
