Written and recorded by John Prine for his debut album in 1971. It's since been recorded by a few other artists. This version by the Cache Valley Drifters from their 1980 Flying Fish Records album is virtually unknown. With all due respect, when you compare it with those by Joan Baez, (including live at Big Sur with Kris Kristofferson and her studio version on Diamonds and Rust) and Bette Midler, except for the original by Prine, this one is the best.
