On August 31st, 2019, The Downstreamers packed up from Nashville, TN, at three in the morning and hit the road to Culpeper, VA, where, working off leads that amounted to little more than rumors, they found the thirtieth annual Bobstock, a celebration of peace, love, harmony, brotherhood, and music set just beyond the reach of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was there, on the banks of the calm Hazel River, that they were welcomed with wide-open arms, taken in by the generations of musicians from all different backgrounds, all of whom seemed armed with a cup of coffee and a piece of advice. Their set that night, under the Virginia stars, was met with equal geniality, and this recording, with all of its crickets and background chatter, captures that atmosphere.

Originally released September 11, 2019
