The evening’s hosts, McEntire and Rucker, will take the stage together for an “emotional, groundbreaking tribute performance.” Rucker is also set to perform with Lady A. Who is being honored at the 2020 CMA Awards?
Charley Pride is this year’s Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton have previously been recognized with the award, which is given to an artist who has “attained the highest degree of recognition in Country Music” and who has “positively impacted and contributed to the growth of the genre throughout a course of years that have proven to have an unprecedented historical impact on fans and industry alike.”
