Sabrehart - Stephen Abrehart:
Sabrehart is Stephen Abrehart, a British electronic music producer based in Prague, Czech Republic. He plays live electronic beats on a hardware only set-up based around 2 sampler/drum machines The Octatrack and Digitakt from Elektron as well as various other analogue and digital synths. His style is influenced by Hiphop, Rave, Drum and Bass, Electronica, Punk and Indie and he often fuses guitars and bass with his synths and beats. His latest release, Suck It Up And Live is a collection of hardware jams created and recorded between Christmas 2020 and March 2021 in his home studio in Prague.
His previous self-produced studio album, Too Many Dreams Not Enough Schemes is available on all the main streaming sites, and includes collaborations with various talented figures from the Czech music scene. In 2016 his collaboration with Lazer Viking was nominated for the Apollo Music award (the Czech equivalent of the Mercury Music Prize). In his mid 30's he studied Music Technology at Dbs Music and Plymouth University, graduating with 1st class honours and prior to that played bass and guitar in various indie bands most notably Prague's finest purveyors of cow punk, The Tower of Dudes.

DMAT - Mathieu Cook:
DMAT - I’ve been interested in music since an early age. Started off on piano but then got really into electric guitar, keyboard and recording tracks with a Tascam 4-track as a teenager. My journey into electronic music started using an Atari ST with a sound module in the 90’s and have dabbled with computer based recording over the years since then. Before the lockdown I was a busy gigging musician playing guitar or bass in 5 bands - doing gigs up and down the country and the festival circuit over the last few summers.
I’ve played in bands with my friend Steve (Sabrehart) in the past and seeing his YouTube vids inspired me to have a go at hardware music making. So I bought the Digitakt and really got into it over the lockdown. I joined the HWJ group in November 2020 and have taken part in the challenges every weekend since then. The people in group are really supportive and inspiring and the challenges have really helped boost my productivity of jams!!
