Sweat tackles themes of economic decline and racial tensions and was added to the A-Level Curriculum in 2022. It is a 2014 play by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Lynn Nottage, set in the real-life city of Reading, Pennsylvania, and focuses on a fictionalized working-class community of laborers.
