Wonderous things lie in the vaults of the British folk revival! Suzie Adams formerly was a member of 'Muckram Wakes', best known as the band which first brought John Tams to the spotlight. This curious recording is the A-side of her first and only single, released in 1980 on the Waterfront Music label. Originally, the song was a gloomy country pop number written by Kris Kristofferson. With the help of a sort of electric-seven-member-chamber-ensemble, it suddenly turns into something slightly different...

The bass harmony is sung by Royston Wood (*1935), co-founder of The Young Tradition and The Albion Country Band. It was the only time he took part in the 'synthesizer era', and it was also the last recording before he died in 1990. This is also to his memory.
