Pete Cannella sings "Sunday Morning Coming Down" in the style of Johnny Cash. "Sunday Morning Coming Down" is a classic folk/country western song written by Kris Kristofferson in 1969 and recorded first by Ray Stevens. This version was done by Johnny Cash in 1970 and performed live on "The Johnny Cash Show" and it reached #1 on the US Country Billboard Chart and #49 on the US Hot Billboard Chart. This a great song and the lyrics are fantastic. It's a perfect description on a lonely Sunday morning after a long Saturday night and waking up lonely. The description of the town and the scenary that surrounds them as they venture throughout their day, and the tired and depressed state of being hungover and alone stumbling through Sunday. Most of us could relate to a Sunday morning like this, one way or another.
