I guess this song pretty much is Waylon’s motto. It was the natural opening song for the album sequence as well for that reason. I’m entirely sure of the difference between crazy and insane but if I had to guess, the difference is crazy means shutting off the autopilot and being mindful of who you are, why you are, how you are, and why. Because what’s really insane is not challenging the algorithm as much as possible. Of course in Waylon’s day, we weren’t all slaves to algorithms the way we are today, however, culture always has its expectations, traps, and travesties.
