Daniel Cole Dailey performing a song from his EP "No Better Place to Grow." The song "Shameful" explores the challenges of growing older and moving on and how contemplating one's shortcomings might bring up feelings of shame and disillusionment. Although it has a rather depressing tone, "Shameful" has a positive message at its core: no matter how far you've fallen, it's never too late to start over. I wrote "Shameful" during a particularly difficult time in my life. Because of my anxiety about the future, I had difficulty letting go of the past. It was winter, and I'm not sure if that makes it easier to write sad songs, but the words and music came pretty quickly to me as soon as I sat down to write them. Pushing a song out sometimes helps me process emotions, and with this one, I was able to find a little solace. Hope you like it...DCD
