Sam Hunt - The Making of 'Locked Up' (Vevo Footnotes)

Sam Hunt had a great idea when he decided to make an homage to Johnny Cash. The Man in Black's 1968 performance at California's Folsom Prison was turned into a classic album, and "Locked Up" references its swaggering attitude. Hunt and his crew found an old jail in Eastern Tennessee, and set up shop, with his wife perfectly decked out as June Carter Cash, hairdo and all. "I got a bunch of local guys to come out and dress up as inmates, a period piece I guess you could call it," he tells Footnotes. "Locked Up" is the title cut from the singer's most recent EP. See what else he has to say about the shoot.
