I was challenged by a good friend to sing and play songs that influenced me and post them up. I usually play bass, so that explains my guitar playing. I played in punk and college alternative bands when I was younger, but I always appreciated different genres and their ability to evoke different emotions than the standard idiom I worked in. The Highwaymen capture the plaintive, lyrical sense of loss and love so well in their idiom. My version incorporates these two disparate genres.
