I april 1970 slapp Kris Kristofferson sitt debutalbum «Kristofferson». I anledning Protestfestivalens jubileumsfest, ble også 50 årsjubileet til dette albumet feiret der lokale artister var invitert til å synge sine versjoner av låtene på albumet.
