Generalen is literally speaking a living legend in Norway. A singer/songwriter with a deep voice reminiscent of an Appalachian version of a drunk Johnny Cash high on his own sorrow. It doesn't get much darker than this, folks, and if it wasn't for the dark humor that runs through Generalen's body of work as a red tread of fresh blood, his songs would've been more or less unbearable for any normal human being. However they're not! Instead he might just be serving us some of the most interesting lyrics and poetry in a very longtime. Here for the first time ever he performs "Long Black Veil" in the traditional Blues/Americana language which is in fact good old English. And he does it well!
