America’s documentarian, Ken Burns, releases his latest offering September 15, 2019 on PBS called “Country Music”. As Burns chronicles the history of a uniquely American art form, OETA’s award winning documentary programs, Back in Time and Gallery America, will team up to go back stage with today’s Oklahoma country music artists working to make it big.

Cameras roll at the Rodeo Opry in Oklahoma City’s famed Stockyard District. Hear from record producers and from the artists themselves as they juggle work, family, and honky-tonk dreams.

With the state producing some of the world’s biggest country music stars like Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, Reba McIntyre, Carrie Underwood, Woody Guthrie, Roy Clark, and Gene Autry, just to name a very few, those dreams aren’t too far-fetched.
