Nico Young lives life in the fast lane.

After winning a national title and setting a course-record time at Nike Cross Nationals, it’s no surprise that he led the Newbury Park High School Panthers (Calif.) to a Division 2 state championship this year. Tack on the fastest three-mile time in US prep history at the Woodbridge Cross Country Classic and a #1 rating on DyeStat to these already amazing accomplishments, and it is clear that he is one of the best young runners in the country. His prestigious record has attracted elite programs such as Northern Arizona University, where he intends to continue his career next year.

With these incredible achievements, an “A” average in the classroom, and a history of assisting underprivileged members of his community, Nico Young is the perfect selection for the 2019-2020 Gatorade National Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year award!
