Blame It On Waylon:The beauty of this song is that it was written in Waylon Jennings’ actual House that was built in 1972 in Tennessee. Our friends, Lex and Natalia Lipsitz in 2021 purchased the Brentwood estate of country icon Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter. The home has all the memories of Waylon including his iconic logo on the floors throughout the home and even on the bottom of the swimming pool. Thank you both for letting us use your home. It gave us the perfect vibes and inspiration to write one of our favorite songs on this album. We were so privileged to be able to write this song alongside our good friends Ira Dean and Chris Wallin! Both of these guys are living legends when it comes to badass song writing!We were all brainstorming together on what we should write the next song about. We talked about our fast lifestyle and how it wasn’t the cleanest, and Ira glanced over to the corner of Waylon’s studio and pointed to a guitar etched with the famous “W” logo that represented the legend himself, then Ira instantly shouted out just “Blame It on Waylon”. It immediately gave us the chills & that was probably because we knew the history of the place we were blessed to be writing in, and how much we loved Waylon’s music, the rest was history.
