In her latest single “Kisses (Happy Endings),” Marty Crown lays out the familiarity of her love with her husband who immigrated with her to the US from Kazakhstan. Backed by a deep synth bass, trap influenced drums, and melodic leads, the song takes on a dark and cinematic sound that is vast and rhythmically sparse but perfectly balanced. As a nod to her asian roots, the song is capped on both ends with the sound of a koto perfectly packaging this new track from our Queen of Sadness, Marty Crown

Aliya Kan (Marty Crown) was born on May 16th, 1993 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Her love of music began with the orchestral score of Luc Besson’s 1997 film The Fifth Element. Her parents, noticing her new found love, quickly enrolled her in vocal courses. Her creative upbringing continued with training at the theater school Obraz аnd with noted singer Rimma Walter.

Featured in ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, BLVD, Buro 27/7, L’Officiel, Marty Crown was crowned the winner of Samsung’s EDGE Fest 2016. Relocating to L.A. in the same year, she connected with Silver Gun Records and discussed plans to record her original music. Silver Gun Records, impressed with her track record, innovation, and dedication, signed her onto their roster.

Marty Crown released her debut singles, “Nomad Lullaby” and “We Are Here,” along with her EP, Hologram, under Silver Gun Records in spring of 2017. Marty Crown successfully released her latest single “Queen of Sadness” last November which was placed on two Spotify editorial playlists racking up over than 30,000 streams. Marty is now moving forward with her latest single “Kisses (Happy Endings).”
