In 1997, Martin released a signature Johnny Cash D42 guitar. They planned to built 100 guitars, but only 80 were finally completed. Luckily for us, the Martin Custom Shop continued to build guitars that honor 'the man in black' and this new D42 has just arrived at The Fellowship of Acoustics!

Its appearance is a great nod to Johnny Cash's signature model with the stars inlay on the ebony fretboard and of course the black finish. Other features include the golden Grover open gear tuning machines and ebony bridge with abalone snowflake inlay. Moreover, it truly plays and sounds as amazing as it looks.

It has Indian rosewood back and sides, without the three-piece back, and a Sitka spruce top with the 42-style abalone decorations. Together with the scalloped X-bracing, it makes this D42 a true powerhouse and perfect for breaking out classics such as 'Folsom Prison Blues' or 'I Walk The Line'.

Comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
