Marginal cord insertion can pose some risks to a pregnancy, especially since the baby may not be able to get all of the needed nutrients in some cases. In this video, Nurse Sarah talks about her marginal cord insertion experience during her last pregnancy. This is also something you'll want to know for maternity nursing.


While there are risks, thankfully, our baby was healthy and did not suffer any complications or problems from the marginal cord. If you have any concerns, please talk with your OB provider to learn more about the risks for your particular case.


In most cases, your OB provider will recommend regular ultrasounds to ensure the baby is growing and developing properly.
