Jim Dawson, AKA Dave Farley, Dixie Drifter, Jimmy, Jimmie, Your Ol'e Hillbilly Buddy Dave Farley, and more, was a Louisiana man who moved up north and became a devoted Wisconsinite. Dawson was certainly one of the top country voices in Wisconsin that never had a hit, and he left dozens of records and songs under many different names. One of his songs was recently featured on the Numero Group "Driftless Dreamers In Cuca Country" compilation.
