Dementia is rather like a crafty serial killer who never quite gets caught. There are many theories out there but solid answers sill remain elusive. There are many kinds of dementia and the more questions we answer, the more questions we have to ask. In the meantime, dementia just keeps on taking and taking, the ultimate robber stealing minds and time, dragging down dreams and pulverizing families piece by tiny piece until there is only raw and weary perseverance paddling these countless waves.
One of these waves, which is a rogue tsunami this year, happens to be a pandemic virus taking down people almost as stealthily as dementia does, however this virus has a real penchant for taking out those who already deal with dementia. Dementia in 2020 with a pandemic to boot...whoda thunk? Another one bites the dust...tic toc tic toc...

A little aside about these songs I used for this video. Mack the Knife was originally written for The Three Penny Opera. Jack MacHeath, also known as Mac the Knife, is a charismatic butcher and is believed to be the notorious serial murderer, Jack the Ripper. He is also a direct descendant of the 18th-century highwayman MacHeath a.k.a. Mack the Knife.
Bobby Darrin made this song popular and died young himself. He suffered from heart ailments brought on by bouts of rheumatic fever as a child. At the age of 37, he didn't prep for another heart valve operation with antibiotics and died in the recovery room. And of course, we know that Aids took out Freddy Mercury in the prime of his life. So many people, and still, in Dementiaville, another one bites the dust. No copyright infringement intended. I don't make money from the videos I create. I'm just trying to educate and elucidate a few things that very much need some answers.
