"Me and Bobby McGee" is a song written by American singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson and originally performed by Roger Miller. Fred Foster shares the writing credit, as Kristofferson wrote the song based on a suggestion from Foster. A posthumously released version by Janis Joplin topped the U.S. singles chart in 1971, making the song the second posthumously released No. 1 single in U.S.
Krzysztof Groen, who has been fascinated by Johnny Cash since childhood, was up for the band's challenge, and soon two more 'Cash' fans (Michel Scheltema, Guitar & Johan Kramer, bass guitar) were eager to support him in the adventure. To complete the set, Robbert Meinders
(drums) were added to the band and they soon went into the rehearsal room.
More than four years later, the gentlemen, with a lot of love and passion for the music, still play together. Little Cash has played a lot in those four years, on radio & TV (RTV Noord/ Omroep Frysland) but also at festivals, events and parties. And how could it be otherwise… in prison of course!
