This exciting trailer is from Desert C.A.M. Studios and producers, Chip Miller, Levvy Carricker, Juli Ragsdale, and Allen Plone, to promote, "Legends & Lyrics,” - a reboot of an extraordinary new series that reveals the stories behind the music, as shared by iconic artists and musical giants of the 20th and 21st Centuries. A four-season music concert series with eight shows per season. Ten years in the making, "Legends & Lyrics” starts with the First Season’s eight episodes - all exciting one-hour concert programs, featuring three legendary singers/songwriters, each performing three of their favorite songs for a live audience. Each episode provides exclusive interviews with each performer who shares personal thoughts about their songs, lyrics, and careers.
This Trailer is Part Two and features interviews segments. The multi-camera concerts were done at legendary locations in Nashville and Shreveport, in front of a packed house, using six high-resolution 4K digital cameras. The series captures and highlights the sounds and songs by dozens of top artists, many considered legends of the music industry. Rich in diversity and musical genres, “Legends & Lyrics” is historically important in that several of these great artists passed away between 2019 and 2022, and left us with their last, historic performances. These artists all have high brand recognition factor with the public, ensuring a solid audience base for the series. Our stars include artists like Justin Hayward (The Moody Blues); Kris Kristofferson, Charlie Daniels, Jimmy Webb, Robert Cray, Keb Mo, Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx, Art Alexakis (Everclear), John Waite (The Baby’s), Dwight Yoakam, Patty Griffin, Randy Owen (Alabama), Pam Tillis, Shawn Colvin, John Hiatt, Jessi Colter, Melissa Manchester, Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), Mac Davis, Peter Yarrow (Peter, Paul & Mary), Kevin Cronin (REO Speedwagon), Amy Lee (Evanescence), Billy Joe Shaver, and many more. Additional interviews were also shot with such artists as: Sheryl Crow, John Prine, Alison Krauss, Loretta Lynn, Ray Stevens, Diane Warren, Billy Swan, Rick Derringer, etc.
Each artist reflects upon the history of music and how it impacted their own lives and work. Many of them have songs considered standards today, songs that still inspire contemporary musicians. And all have their place in helping to shape social and cultural movements that changed the American landscape. These are the songs that are at the heart of the narrative for our series. How they came to be, and how they changed America and American values.
Series is directed by Will Mitchell, Executive Produced by Will & Nancy Mitchell; Produced by Chip Miller, Levvy Carricker, Juli Ragsdale, and Allen Plone; and Co-Produced by Rick Sanjek, who also Music Supervised. Editor is Ken Conrad. Additional Editing and Post-Production by Travis Miller. A Desert C.A.M. Studios Production.
