With Kris Kristofferson having finally stood down from live performances after more than half a century on the road, and having just celebrated his 87th birthday in retirement, he is undoubtedly receiving a barrage of congratulatory tributes from high places around the world … deserving praise for a song-writing icon – a true living legend.

Now it might not mean much in the wider scheme of things, but I hope to represent the feelings of his multitude of fans, by putting together this humble “man in the street” tribute – a compilation of home-made covers of some of his most popular songs … a hard choice to make from the hundreds of great songs Kristofferson has written and performed, by I did finally come up with MY Top Ten.

No pretence here of emulating the man himself - nor of sounding remotely like any of the many professional artists who have covered his songs - but even so, I do hope you enjoy it.
