Netflix has done it again with it's take on the old Bonnie and Clyde story.

"The Highwaymen" tells the tale from the perspective of the Texas Rangers who ambushed Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker in 1934.

Kevin Costner plays Frank Hamer, the dedicated lawman who leaves his district to hunt down Bonnie and Clyde. The movie also features Woody Harrelson.

Hamer reported to Texas's first female Governor, played in the movie by Kathy Bates.

This video, a conversation between presentation coach, Michael Angelo Caruso and business people enrolled in the "Present Like a Pro" online class.

Caruso shows a photo of Bonnie Parker's gravestone, which reads in part:
"As the flowers are all made sweeter by the sunshine and the dew, so this old world is made brighter by the lives of people like you."

Bonnie and Clyde, of course, were responsible for around a dozen killings. Most of the victims were law enforcement officers.

Michael poses a fascinating question, "If people--even our own families--can have misperceptions about us, can we as individuals error in our self-assessments?"

And if we mis-perceive our own characteristics, such as confidence and aptitude and effectiveness, what's the best way to get our bearings so we can improve moving forward?

Michael shares that he often greets speakers after they leave the stage to ask, "How do you think you did?"

The answer is almost always, "I think I did pretty good." And often, sadly, the person didn't do very well at all.
