Jordyn Shellhart is a singer/songwriter that was born in Wyoming, lived in Northern California, and eventually moved with her family to Nashville, Tennessee at age 10. At 14 she signed her first publishing deal. At 15, her first record deal. At 16, made her Grand Ole Opry debut. Now at 28, she has written songs for Kelsea Ballerini, Cody Johnson, Don Williams, the Little Big Town GRAMMY Award-nominated “Sugar Coat,” and most recently signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville in 2022. Her artistry recalls the foundation of Emmylou Harris and Kris Kristofferson, the modern sensibilities of Taylor Swift, John Mayer, and Kacey Musgraves, and the gut wrenching say-it-like-it-is vulnerability of iconoclasts from Joni Mitchell to Phoebe Bridgers. Her ambition comes in the form of tackling colossal subjects, laying her soul bare in 3 minutes and putting pen to paper as a way of processing her life and the world as she sees it.
