Jonathan Bennett and Lydia Hearst are taking audiences inside the notorious Manson Family murders in their psychological thriller “The Haunting of Sharon Tate.”

They sat down with "Extra's" Hannah Kahn to talk about the film, which also stars Hilary Duff as Sharon Tate.

Lydia, who plays coffee heiress Abigail Folder, explained, "This film is technically categorized as a horror film, but that's merely because the events that took place were so horrific. But in reality, the film is much more psychological and spiritual, and it sort of begs the question of fate and whether or not we as individuals have the opportunity to alter the course of our own destinies."

Jonathan, who portrays Hollywood hair stylist Jay Sebring, said he appreciated the film's focus on who the victims were.

"So many of the documentaries and articles about it are based on Mason and what his cult was, and not actually who was murdered and what their life was like," Bennett reflected. "So that's what I like about our film, is that it's the days leading up to the murders."

Jonathan and Lydia also gave us updates on their personal lives – could a baby be coming soon for Lydia and husband Chris Hardwick?
