Johnny Wyker was a creative juggernaut with many musical accomplishments. One story I would like to share comes from Ken Shelton (Creator of the outstanding local music mag - Hot Stuff) and comes from his interview with Kris Kristofferson who beamed when Ken mentioned Wyker's name. They shared an apartment in Nashville & he credits Wyker with keeping him going & not letting him give up. He and Johnny were together when Kris wrote "Me and Bobby McGee" & Johnny heard it first, before the demo was cut.

Ed Canada, one of the guitar players in this clip, was a friend of mine & part of a band that lived with me in Midfield, AL for a little time before they moved to Pensacola. Owen Brown on bass and Joe Walk on keys are the other players I know. Enjoy!
