'Johnny Cash and Tennessee Two' with "Don't Make Me Go" recorded from the original US 78 rpm shellac single on Sun 266. "Don't Make Me Go" was released in the US in March 1957 with A-side "Next In Line" peaking at Nr. 9 on Billboard's Most Played C&W in Juke Boxes Chart. Both sides were recorded on April 4, 1957 at Memphis Recording Service (Sun Studio) in Memphis Tennessee with Johnny Cash on vocal and acoustic rhythm guitar, Luther Perkins on electric lead guitar, possibly Jack Clement on guitar and Marshall Grant on stand-up bass. The session was produced by Sam Phillips. Words and music by Johnny Cash.
