This is the story of what became of Joe Hill's Ashes. I was on tour with Billy Bragg 12 or 13 years ago and we'd just played a sold out gig at the Aladdin Theater in Portland, Oregon. Billy and I were standing outside in the street swapping road stories when he started telling me the story of Joe Hill's Ashes. This is my attempt to tell that story and how I later became part of the story. I encourage everyone to learn more about Joe Hill and his importance in music history.
