Acoustic Archive Project: I'm trying to remember how to play all the singer-songwriter songs I've written over the years, and to record them, so I don't forget them again. Making it a video based project seemed to make the most sense

Another based on true events but altered to fit a single theme story songs. It is definitely one of my most `Straight Country' numbers (old school Highwaymen style. I love early work of Kris, Wayland, Johhny and Willie). Modern music of that style tends to get called Gothic Country these days. The three people it's mainly about have all had very different fates since the time they spent with me. One is now happily married with a new career to boot, another I haven't spoken with in years but the last time we communicated they made it extremely clear that they detest me, and the other is no longer with us because cancer sucks. The lesson is know yourself before you try to get to know other people if possible, I guess? It's a lot easier to write songs like this now that I am actually old and experienced.
