James Last was a well-known musician, recording artist and concert band director in Germany and much of Europe throughout most of the latter 20th Century.
His ability to involve his happy and enthusiastic audiences was in part due to his highly selective enlistment of exceptional musicians and talented vocalists from around the world.
I think both Kris Kristofferson and Janis Joplin would be proud of James Last's version of this classic.
