The Jays cast about for a Mothers Day song, and this one popped up. It was Willie's 88th (!) birthday last week, after all. It was fun to work out the swirly phaser sound that Waylon and a lot of the Bakersfield country guys were fond of around that time. Bob Seger had a birthday on 5-6, so it might be time for a little Seger song next Friday. :-)
