How do you create a community of 8000 women who love sports?
It all began unwittingly in 2017, in Bangalore, India. What was assumed would be a one-off session for a handful of friends, turned out to be a 15-women-strong, super-successful event! So much so, that the women requested the founders to conduct weekly sessions and thus began the “Sisterhood”.
‘Sisters In Sweat’ is a community exclusively for women, by women, stitched together by sport and wellness. Now with multiple sports formats including football, basketball, swimming, badminton, dance, etc,. the community is spread across Bombay, Delhi, and Bangalore.
At the helm of Sisters in Sweat, you have Swetha Subbaiah, an authority on fitness and one of India’s 4 Nike certified coaches. Along withTanvie Hans, a professional footballer who played for Fulham & Spurs and India at a national level, they founded Sisters In Sweat in 2018.
