Johnny Cash was a singer, songwriter, and actor who rose to fame in the 1950s with his unique blend of country, rock and roll, and blues music. His deep, distinctive voice and heartfelt lyrics made him a legend in the music industry.
On September 12, 2003, Johnny Cash passed away at the age of 71. The cause of his death was complications from diabetes. Cash had been battling the disease for years and it had taken a toll on his health.
In the years leading up to his death, Cash had several health issues. In 1997, he was diagnosed with autonomic neuropathy, a condition that affects the nerves that control the body's internal organs. This condition led to a number of health problems, including pneumonia, which forced Cash to cancel several tour dates.
